Scott's proprietary Integrated Molding Process (IMP) produces the top, down and head tubes in a single step, eliminating 11 percent of the material (compared with CR1, the company's previous carbon process) from the head-tube junction. This, combined with high-modulus composite fiber, decreases weight (1,790 grams claimed for the frame and shock) while increasing strength.
A bar-mounted TwinLoc lever offers simultaneous control of the shock and fork. Riders can choose between full travel front (120mm) and rear (110mm), full lockout front and rear, and Traction mode (80mm rear, full-travel front).
