Velo Orange: Polyvalent MK2 Touring Bike
For touring bike, Velo Orange pays close attention to detail without needing to charge the astronomical prices often associated with hand-built frames of this type; and they use replica components made with modern materials to replace period pieces no longer in production. In this way, they’re able to preserve a classic look. The 4130 chromoly frame and fork provide comfort with a generous fork rake and long chainstays for stable handling. To underscore the bike’s French heritage, Velo Orange chose 650b wheels shod with voluminous 38c Pacenti Pari-Moto tires on their complete bike. Alternately, you can buy the frame and fork ($550) and supply your own parts, or chose from several build kits.
